What will I be doing on the hunt? That's a surprise, but know that you'll be doing quite a bit of walking, around two to three miles, while using clues and collaborating with your teammates to identify locations and solve puzzles.
How long does a hunt last? All hunts are timed. Most take around 2 to 2.5 hours to finish. There's a 15 minute introduction and a 15 minute wrap-up at the end where we total the points and announce the winners.
Is it like an escape room? If you like escape rooms, you’ll have fun. There’s puzzles to solve, and you’re timed, but you get to be outside! Unlike most escape rooms, you'll also benefit from a knowledge of trivia (especially local trivia), and there's usually some word games too.
What if it rains? We go rain or shine, but also understand that Dallas weather is... strange. We offer the option of switching to an indoor puzzle hunt should an outdoor option prove unfeasible. This option requires that you provide a venue.
What should I bring with me? We provide any tools you'll need to find and record your answers. You'll be responsible for comfortable clothes, walking shoes, and sunscreen. Bring water. Stay hydrated, this is Texas!
Can I bring my dog? On all outdoor hunts, pups are welcome, but not recommended. They tend to get distracted.
What's the dress code? Dress for comfort. Walking shoes and exercise clothes are strongly recommended.
How many people can participate? We recommend at least four people. We haven't yet identified what too many people looks like, so the more the merrier. As far as team sizes, we suggest teams no larger than six, just because that gives everyone a chance to contribute.
Do you offer team building events? We love offering team building and corporate events for businesses. We've already worked with many businesses in the Dallas area and had a great time. You can schedule an event with us, or contact us to create a custom hunt based on your needs and budget.
Do you offer other events? You might be interested in Buzzered!, our comedy quiz show event that's inspired by some of your favorite TV game shows. Answer trivia and solve stumpers in a battle of wits against your opponents.
Are the scavenger hunts created in Dallas? Yes! Our events are all built, hosted, and run by a DFW resident. It's how we make sure the hunts are built on a love of the community and its history. Some scavenger hunts are created by a big corporation in some other state, and you pay to fly in a bunch of fancy consultants to host your event. We are right around the corner, and always there for your event.
Can you personalize for a special event? We love creating custom events! If you're planning a party, we can include your name and your photo in the puzzle. If you're planning an event for your business, we can create custom pages that focus on your company's goals and values. Let's talk about how we can create a hunt that's right for you.
Are the scavenger hunts kid-friendly? Our challenging hunts are intended for ages 11 and up. Little ones who can ride in a stroller will probably enjoy the ride, but the kids in between might get tired or bored.
What is your cancellation policy? Cancellations with at least 72 hours notice will result in a full refund. In case of cancellation within 72 hours of event, client is responsible for 75% of the total invoice. Event date changes will require a new rental contract and may result in additional processing fees. Events are held rain or shine. In the event of dangerous weather, including thunderstorms, events can be rescheduled at our discretion. Alternate indoor puzzles are available if a venue can be provided. If the event is not rescheduled within 6 months, the deposit is forfeited.
