What will I be doing on the scavenger hunt? That's a surprise, but know that you'll be doing quite a bit of walking, usually around two to three miles, while using clues and collaborating with your teammates to identify locations and solve puzzles.
How do the scavenger hunts work? You'll meet your host at a designated location where each team will receive a book full of riddles and puzzles that can be solved by exploring the mapped area indicated in the book. You'll need to track down sculptures, murals, historic markers, and other surprises. All of our hunts are conducted on foot, there's no driving involved, and all answers can be found without going inside a building. Each hunt is timed, and you'll answer as many questions as you can before time runs out. All of the answers you find will also help you solve larger puzzles in your book, including word games and riddles.
How long does a scavenger hunt last? All hunts are timed. Most take around two hours to finish. There's a 10 minute introduction and a 10 minute wrap-up at the end where we total the points and announce the winners.
Are the scavenger hunts like an escape room? If you like escape rooms, you’ll have fun. In our case there's just waaay more room. There’s puzzles to solve, and you’re timed, but you get to be outside! Unlike most escape rooms, a knowledge of trivia will come in handy, and our puzzles are usually pretty focused on word games.
What if it rains? We go rain or shine, but also understand that Dallas weather is unpredictable. We keep an eye on the weather and work with you to explore your options, including switching to an indoor puzzle hunt should an outdoor option prove dangerous
Are the scavenger hunts easier for people from Dallas? Our hunts are built to reveal the secrets of a neighborhood, even to people who live here. Locals might have an advantage when navigating the map, but they're likely to be just as surprised as to the answers as an out of towner. We've certainly witnessed this when teams made up of locals and visitors compete.
What should I bring with me? We provide any tools you'll need to find and record your answers. You'll be responsible for comfortable clothes, walking shoes, and sunscreen. Bring water. Stay hydrated, this is Texas!
Can I bring my dog? On all outdoor hunts, pups are not recommended. They tend to get distracted and weary, and most of the puzzles are too challenging for them.
What's the dress code? Dress for comfort. Walking shoes and exercise clothes are strongly recommended.
How many people can participate? We recommend at least four people, We haven't yet identified what too many people looks like, so the more the merrier. As far as team sizes, we suggest teams no larger than six, just because that gives everyone a chance to contribute. Note that most hunts carry a minimum fee regardless of the number of participants.

We are right around the corner, and always there for your event.
Can you personalize for a special event? We love creating custom events! If you're planning a party, we can include your name and your photo in the puzzle. If you're planning an event for your business, we can create custom pages that focus on your company's goals and values. Let's talk about how we can create a hunt that's right for you.
Are the scavenger hunts kid-friendly? There's no objectionable content in our hunts, but the puzzles are intended for ages 11 and up. Kids are always great at spotting things along the hunt and often enjoy being part of a team of older players. For younger players, let's talk about ways to make the game work for them... we can adjust the difficulty and give more hints,.
What is your cancellation policy? Cancellations with at least 72 hours notice will result in a full refund. In case of cancellation within 72 hours of event, client is responsible for 75% of the total invoice. Event date changes will require a new rental contract and may result in additional processing fees. Events are held rain or shine. In the event of dangerous weather, including thunderstorms, events can be rescheduled at our discretion. Alternate indoor puzzles are available if a venue can be provided. Is it like a virtual escape room? A remote scavenger hunt works a lot like an escape room -- you solve one puzzle at a time, and the more you solve, the closer you get to the final puzzle. The biggest difference is that when you’re done, you still can’t leave! Sorry about that.
How many people can play? We recommend groups of at least 6, so that there are a lot of minds working together. But as far as maximum, there’s no limit to the number of people who can join. If you’re a large group, say, more than 40, we’ll split you into teams and challenge you to play against each other. We’ll rely on the chat to enter answers, but the games are all basically the same.
What platform do you use to connect? Our preferred platform is Zoom, but if your organization uses a different one, we can usually accommodate. We’ve hosted hunts through Webex, Google Meet, MS Teams, and RingCentral.
